Welcome to Third Grade. My name is Cathy Bishop and I have completed 30 years of teaching in Burke County. I have taught First Grade, Third Grade, and Fifth Grade. My Teaching Degree is from Georgia Southern University. I have a Master's Degree from Augusta State University. I have a Specialist's Degree from Walden University, and have completed all of the Doctoral Work except for writing the Dissertation. I have 2 daughters - Aubrey Lynn and Ashlee. I have one dog - Daisy. I love to read, shop, and spend time with my girls. Another interesting fact is I am getting married in October.
I am the System 44 teacher for Third Grade. In System 44, we learn about letter sounds and blends. We work with spelling and writing too. We have stories to read and a computer platform to work on daily. We do whole group instruction as well as small group instruction. We have incentives to recognize growth in our reading.
