Welcome to 5th Grade!!! I am Mrs. Amanda Burke and I will be the science and social studies teacher for your 5th Grade team. I am looking forward to a productive, positive, and exciting year exploring our world and the journey people have taken to get here. We are going to learn, grow, take chances, make mistakes, and get messy! (Thanks, Ms. Frizzle!)
Scholars, I will be using Google Classroom to upload all materials, practices, and assessments this school year...if you're ever absent or unable to attend class, please check the Google Classroom for the day's lesson and materials. If there are any questions, feel free to email me directly from the Classroom page or comment on the assignment privately.
Parents and guardians, I will upload a digital weekly newsletter on this webpage. The newsletter will keep you informed of content being taught that week, a look ahead to next week's content, upcoming assessments and important dates for the class, school, and district, as well as instructions to access the Google Classroom as a guardian. Please check this newsletter each week at your convenience.
