Hi! My name is Dr. Dana Gardner and I am a Special Education Teacher here at Blakeney Elementary. This is my 30th year working with the State of Georgia! I have taught Special Education for 22 years in grades K-5, whereas 12 years were at Wheeless Road Elementary! This is my 9th year at Blakeney. I love being a BES Bruin! I am so happy to be at home!

 

I have been married for 26 wonderful years! I have 2 kids. My daughter has a BS degree in Kinesiology from Augusta University and my son has a BS degree in Computer Science from Georgia Southern! We also have the best dog ever, Oreo!

 

I earned my Doctoral degree in Special Education from Nova Southeastern University in 2011. I continue to LEARN and GROW each day! I teach Math, Reading and Writing in a Resource and Co-teaching setting, utilizing lots of visuals and hands on opportunities to assure a fun and engaging learning experience. My team Paraprofessional, Ms. Frederica Conner will be in our classroom providing support to reinforce our students' learning. 

 

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and fishing!
